HYBRID Text & Cover Design
The elements of Custom Book Design and Do-It-Yourself Design have been combined into an affordable Hybrid Design option.
We can convert your basic fiction and prose-style non-fiction Word file into a print ready PDF. All you need to do is choose one of the three different text styles listed below. For your cover you will select a cover design from a wide assortment of pre-designed formats. If needed, you will either supply a hi-resolution image for your front cover or choose from thousands of images we offer.
If wanted, you will supply a high res image of author photo and fill in text data into an easy to understand form.
We will then combine all these elements into the finished, press ready cover. It doesn't get much easier.*
HYBRID Text Layout from $199
Basic fiction and prose-style non-fiction ONLY. If your book has illustrations, bullet lists, tables, charts, subheadings or footnotes, this option is NOT available. This is the ultimate text layout for the budget minded shopper. It combines some do-it-yourself elements, along with minimal designer interaction. If you have some time to invest, you can’t beat the price. Recommended for: C, S
Package Includes:
- Email consultation with designer
- Choose from 3 different standard text designs
- Creation of title page
- Creation of copyright page
- Creation of table of contents (if needed)
- Layout up to 256 pages of text with running heads and folios (page numbers) from your MS Word or WordPerfect document
- One round of corrections (up to 20) included. Additional corrections at $1 each and additional text proofs beyond second proof @ $25 each.
- Final PDF files for offset or digital printing*
- Can be upgraded to Standard fiction and prose-style non-fiction text layout
*NOTE: Our Design Service is offered exclusively to author/publishers who print books with Self Publishing, Inc.. No print ready files will be sent to customer until after books are printed. Once books are printed, you can request a copy of the print ready PDF files, created by us for a small fee of $25. Complete application files are also available after books are printed for an additional $99. You can request a copy of your print ready files, prior to the first printing, for an additional $495 per file (so text and cover would be $990.)
HYBRID Cover Design- $199
This is the ultimate cover design for the budget minded shopper. It combines some do-it-yourself elements, along with minimal designer interaction. If you have some time to invest, you can't beat the price. Recommended for: C, S
Package includes:

- Choice of one of 12 different basic templates
- Choice of any cover image available on www.DepositPhotos.com or hi-res image supplied by author
- Insert author photo supplied by author as digital file
- One round of text corrections included. Additional corrections at $1 each and additional proofs beyond second proof @ $25 each.
- Can be upgraded to Custom Cover at any time
- Final PDF files for offset or digital printing*

**Note: There is only minimal customer support for this service. You are expected to do your part and supply accurate information the first time around. You will be given one proof to OK. If corrections are necessary to text there will be a minimum charge of $35, each additional cover proof is $15. This program is based on printing with Self Publishing, Inc. A copy of your files, if requested, will be sent to you after the first printing of your book for $25.
