Prerequisite: A Mechanical Edit, Substantive Edit, or Comprehensive Edit by Self Publishing, Inc.
When you receive your professionally edited manuscript from us, you will find that it includes tracked edits marked in color. Because you maintain editorial control over your manuscript, you are free to accept or reject those recommended edits and suggestions. This can be a time-consuming process, but it must be completed before your manuscript can move on through the publishing process. If you are busy, or are uncertain as to your ability to accurately make the necessary changes, you may prefer to have an editor implement the changes for you. The editor will:
- Review each suggested change and recommendation given during the edit
- Make decisions and take action on each one
- Accept changes
- Resolve queries
- Rewrite sentences as needed
- Make other revisions as suggested in the edit
